About Midcoast Clock Company

Take a step back in time, to the simpler times, when life was less complicated and you could enjoy the beauty of every moment. Welcome to the Midcoast Clock Company. The atmosphere here is reminescent of a by-gone era… the ticking of clocks, the melodius sounds of chimes, the beauty of cabinetry made by the hands of skilled craftsmen, and the seldom seen art of clockmaking.

We are a family owned and operated business founded in 1976 as Gordon’s Gallery of Clocks. A lot has changed since our early days, including our name and the family continues to grow, but our commitment to quality, old world craftsmanship and honest business practices has not changed.

Our master clockmaker, Roger Gordon, has been rebuilding clocks for over 40 years. From clocks in the Pennsylvania State Capitol Building to street clocks in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, we service most keywound or weight driven clocks.

He began his apprenticeship at the age of 11 and bought his tools and business at the age of 14. After 42 years now, and thousands of clocks later, he is considered an expert in the field of antiquarian horology.

A native of Pleasantville, Pennsylvania, our clockmaker makes house calls throughout most of the eastern USA including New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Washington, DC, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia, and  almost everywhere in between for grandfather clock repairs. If you have a smaller clock that needs repaired, follow the instructions provided on our mail order clock repair page or contact us through the form above.

Our Mail Order repair center is managed by Craig and Amber Gordon.  Having grown up around the clock repair business, Craig is a very accomplished clockmaker with a specialty in nautical clocks.

Our Master Clockmaker working on Hudson, OH community tower clock

In addition to mail order repair and grandfather clock repair, our team of clockmakers and technicians travel throughout North America consulting with local community leaders and churches for the repair of tower and steeple clocks.

We don’t just fix your clock, but we are careful to restore or conserve your heirloom with the highest quality professional craftsmanship. We offer a one-year warranty with our work.

When you trust your treasured timepiece with the Midcoast Clock Company, you will join an elite group of happy clock owners that will only have us perform their repair work. Among them are banking institutions, universities, dignitaries, companies large and small, and likely your neighbor down the street.
